Apps I am trying out on Transformer

So far, I have tried out the following apps on my Asus Transformer:

Since I bought it from Gamestop, I received some free games. Must say, of the ones I’ve tried, none of them really appeal to me because of the genre, or because they would be much better with a controller (like the Sonic game). Mind you, I have never been into platformers, racing games, or shooters, so I can’t really evaluate them fairly. Actually I haven’t found many other games in the Android Market that really appeal to me, but I am not a very hard core gamer and my favorite types of games (escape games aside) are so far not on this platform…

I also tried notetaking apps like Evernote and Supernote. These seem good, but I am too busy being frustrated by input methods on tablets to really make much use of them. I’m trying out the SlideIt and Swype input methods now in hopes they will be a more efficient way of inputting text.

Also, the $8 stylus I bought is less effective than a damp q-tip with aluminum foil wrapped around it. It’s because the tip of the stylus is too soft (why is it like that?!) and makes things wobbly, wtf. The best stylus is said to be the Adonit Jot, but a) it’s expensive, and b) it’s hard, so I didn’t really want it clacking against my screen, but maybe I should rethink that.

However writing, even with Supernote, is kind of annoying because it seems you have to write large, and I would prefer to write small? Oh well, maybe if I mess around with the settings I can figure things out.

I’ve d/led Paper Camera (a novelty photo filter program), Star Chart (what it sounds like), which I haven’t tried out so far. I also downloaded Beautiful Widgets (all part of the same sale) to give me some extra ones.

Does anyone else have a tablet? What have you been using it for?
